Class tournaments

Just an idea that popped up in my mind while I was looking at concept arts and I saw this concept art called Queen of Thief's. So I was just wondering whether players are allowed to do small tournaments to determine the strongest in their class. And would be given custom titles like;

Elementalist: High Sorcerer or Sorceress
Thief: King of Thief's or Queen of Thief's
Guardian: Oberst (Male/Female title)

Couldn't think of any more titles for the other classes lol.

But ye, just a little thought on a tournament which can be held every month or so.

Very interesting. That would be awesome to do. It would really show how well you play your class too, because the person you face knows exactly what you're capable of. I would love to see this in game

Yea this is would be a great idea. Maybe have the tournaments on the weekend so you can have the title for the week til the next tournament. Then you have to defend your title if you want to keep it by fighting the winner of the next tournament.

Maybe get a special set of clothes that lasts only a week.

It would be like a sporting event. Just fight till your opponent goes down not till death.

Why not make the rewards permanent?
You'll get more people to show up with rewards that stick then you'll ever have with something as flaky as a weekly "cool factor". Just my two copper though.

I think my guild Celest will try to implement this to get some guild unity and draw activity. I thought this was a good idea when I saw this thread and so does the rest of my guild haha I think what we decided on was monthly tournaments.
