It might not be important or relevant here but drops are character level dependent. You need minimum character level 50 and above to get random drop yellow and red from bosses. I am not too sure to the exact level but am correct in general. Once again I don't know how relevant that is to your situation.
I am level 80, you cannot do Orr if you are not level 80 or closer to it. If you check the link I posted at the beginning of the topic it will take you to the official forums with over 380 posts of people mentioning the same thing and if you check the official forum the game bug section there are dozens of topics about how magic finder is not working properly.

I play mostly solo and have noticed a decrease in lower level areas as I level alts. Or maybe I think it is worse because I keep reading about it.
I have 3 80s and have yet to do a dungeon. Just not my favorite thing to do. Why should I have to go there just to get a good drop rate. Oh yeah - all those WoWbabies whining about "no raid content".
I played WOW. I loved WOW (for the first year). I have no interest in this game being WOW. I just want to play and have fun and right now the drop rates blow.
I just ran Arah story mode I don't think I even got a green... just a bunch of white/blue trash. Maybe its a ploy to get us to do nothing but fractals. I was getting decent drops in there despite my low MF%, an exotic here a rare there.
Update: just read the official forums devs haven't responded only a mod (who's wording pissed off a lot of people) and a lot of people are guessing this is a Nexon move to sell more gems for players looking to buy gold to buy off TP. How do we save gw2 from Anet/nexon? I do hope this is just a bug, but why don't a dev just say so on forums? Ugh oh well only a game.

If they have, indeed, decreased the drop rate on items I'm kind of glad. Maybe it will help the game economy. I haven't been able to sell a single non-yellow or non-exotic item in weeks because doing so would cause me to LOSE money - due to so many idiots who are filling the TP with items at vendor prices (not even realizing, or maybe not caring, that doing so loses them money, considering the taxes and listing fee versus just selling to a vendor). They get less money then the would if they just vendored the times! And nearly every single green or blue weapon and armor on the TP is the same, set at vendor price.
Maybe a lower drop rate will start making the items a little more rare, and then maybe less people will be putting them up so damned cheap. Here's hoping!
Stacy with a global economy I'm not sure that blues, or even most greens will do anything on the trading post ever. There are just too many of them available. I tend to just merch mine.
