The problem bokiz is if that was a planned thing to regulate market how do they expect players that dont do Fractals to make money? With all the nerfing in drops you are lucky if you make 15s a day

If they seriously nerfed drops this much (I've had maybe one dye drop since the patch, total) as a business decision then I will seriously consider not doing business with them anymore.
They really don't. I think FotM is a good idea, but poorly implemented. Introduced gear first there that should have been game wide. (they admited that one as a mistake) But I believe they nerfed drops in other dungeons and PVE areas while keeping FotM rewards high. So if you want to make money (and get stuff you need for ascended) you need to be in that area. It's simple as that, FotM is the best bang for your buck right now.
That's not to say you can't play in any area you enjoy and have fun; you'll still make money and have fun; so pick one (unless you love dungeons, then you dont have to pick)...more fun or more money? It's not great that you can't do both at the optimal level at the same time, but worse things have happened in games.
I enjoyed Fotm for the first few levels...now I dread (no pun intended) doing them. But its a necessary eveil...few more runs and I'll have 500 fractals and craft my backpack...then infuse is (got the essence already) and the materials...so I can run higher level stuff, hope to get the ring, so I can run higher level stuff and get my ascended gear. That way I stay up to date with gear until its available in WvW. So I'm doing things I don't like to do the things I do like...so I know this isn't what you want to hear but bite the bullet and do FotM...and grind it off and on to balance out your regular play.

400+ players complaining about the Nerf.
I like dungeons to do them 1 time get the achievement and move on. I have done fractals twice, DC first time, finished the second and honestly I dont see myself running a whole lot of them. I have enjoyed the game until now, I think I got my $60 worth and will keep playing but n o more with my eyes closed. I spent the last money I had allotted for Cash shop and I may spend a few more $ to get some extra slots or extra bag space but I am done feeding the dragon.

I saw more than 400 players complain about the cash shop. Doesn't mean it was a problem.
Do you realize that if 400 players out of thousands complain about something it's not necessarily a big deal? Drop rates get adjusted in games all the time. The company needs to find the sweet spot. This happened in Guild Wars 1 as well.
Too many things flood the market, particularly a global market and everything loses value. That's not good so they have to make adjustments. They change it a bit. It goes the wrong way. They watch data and change it back. The fact is, if you're going to be playing a game for months or years, a few weeks means very little at the end of the day.
If they nerfed it too much, they'll figure it out and up it again. That's how ALL MMOs work.
No matter how many MMO forums I visit, I see the same posts over and over again. You'd think people would learn eventually.

The problem is ectos are tied to exotics, legendaries AND ascended items. That’s just dumb.
Making it harder for normal people to get exotics because you tied the same item to legendaries and ascended items makes very little sense.
Ectos should be split into two resources: one for exotics, and one for legendaries and ascended items. Punishing people who didn’t get their exotics before you released the next tier because they use the same items is just stupid.
If gw2 introduces new crafting mats than I could understand not being able to have the time to introduce it with the lost shores. If not than it makes you wonder on the design of both reducing rare/exotic drops in the world as well as the black lion salvage chance at rare mats when obviously demand would be high causing conflict between catering to both the casual and hardcore gamers.
Personally I can still log in and have fun so long as I know which avenues of obtaining gear are under construction and am hopeful world drops revert to normal and... ahh who am I kinding I just wanted to post Pinky singing narf![]()
