The Quietus Legion

General Guild Info: It has been awhile since I posted an ad but we have been growing! TQL is an East Coast guild (EST time zone) that aims to provide a fun experience by focusing on everything - PvE, PVP, WvW, Crafting, Raiding Dungeons, Roleplaying, JUMPING PUZZLES...(if you haven't tried one yet, your in for a ride!) TQL is actually a division of a larger multi-game guild called The Quietus Consortium [TQC]. TQC currently consists of GW2 as well as SWTOR. We plan on adding Phantasy Star Online 2 next year upon its release as well. We welcome all players both casual and active! This guild has grown within the past few months since I last posted with our GW2 division now at 23 members and SWTOR division now nearing 40 members!

Types of people we are looking for: We are looking for mature members of all sorts. We aim to be a fun, drama-free guild as we strive to be a guild that is tight-knit and helps each other out when possible. As we wish to provide a fun experience, we have little tolerance for players who wish to bring drama. In addition, our expectations for you as a guild member are to put your life before the game. We will tell you that family/job/school or other important life events come before Guild Wars 2. This is a game for us to play in our spare time and we treat it as such. If your going to be AFK for a week due to life, you will NEVER be punished. We completely understand and frankly, we find these militarized standards very silly in a game. So don't worry! We won't beat you up if you can't make it to an event!

Our goals: We wish to provide a fun experience for all of our members. We will be competitive when it comes to PvP and WvW events because hey, we wanna win! However, we do not aim to become to largest, most popular guild in Guild Wars as our main focus is to have fun and help each other out! We do not believe in strict standards for a guild because we believe that strictness will make the game feel more like a required job rather than a game. However, our guild does provide a ranking system for those of you with personal goals to become a leader. Each rank up will provide more guild privileges and can be earned through trust and guild contribution. We don't give rank ups to simply the person of the highest level. This can provide a sense of achievement for our players who want to be able to work their way up to an Keeper (officer) or even a Dominus (leader - should a position open up). For those of you interested in our SWTOR division, we primarily focus on Roleplaying but have recently been scheduling end-game Operations.

Types of in-game characters we welcome: As mentioned above, we want mature members! We welcome players of any gender, race, class, etc. We do not discriminate! However, WARNING to the younger teens we are a MATURE guild - take that how you would like but I am stressing it for a reason. This recruitment ad also applies to anyone on here that also plays SWTOR! We play on the Jung Ma server and would welcome anyone who is willing to join. Our only requirement is to have have fun!

Guild History: This is a new portion that I thought I would like to share for those of you who may be interested. We started as a Guild roughly 7-8 years ago known as DSL (Dark Sith Lords) and focused as a guild for the game called Jedi Academy for PC. It eventually evolved into a multi-gaming community known as Clan -=X=- and consisted of Jedi Academy, Guild Wars and Everquest 2 among other games that came and went. After sometime, the guild simply faded as several of us grew older and grew busy with school. However, years later, a handful of us reunited once again upon the release of SWTOR. This is when The Quietus Intiative was born. With Guild Wars 2 coming, we knew it was time to create something big and special once again and decided to create a community of gamers with common interests. The Quietus Consortium was born, creating a community with multiple games. As both the SWTOR and GW2 divisions continue to grow, we will create the next chapter in this story that originated as DSL and -=X=-. With the addition of Phantasy Star Online 2 in a matter of months, we expect to once again, build a fantastic community that many of you will build memories around!

Alliances: If you or someone you know happens to run a guild with a similar mission as ours, please feel free to look us up! We would love to form an alliance with a guild who shares similar goals as our own for PvP, WvW, or some Dungeon Crawls.
