Exotic Gear & Build Recommendations

Hey guys, I hit lvl80 well over a month ago. Ive been doing dungeons, events and everything and haven't really ended up with any exotic gear. I have some ok Masterwork quality armor with my magic find nearing 100% due to the runes I have equipped. I recently got a decent Exotic hat for completing Fractals lvl2 and an Exotic Spear from the Lost Fractals event. But yesterday I hit the jackpot. I was completing Caledon Forest and picked up an Unidentified Dye...long behold it turned into an ABYSS DYE. Worth 17 gold currently on the market. As much as I want to consume that dye, I think I have decided that I should sell this dye, withdraw a few more gold from my bank, and pick up a set of Exotic Gear from the market (once the dye sells).

With my Ranger, I have been having a blast using a trapper's build. I love throwing out the Spike Trap, the poison snake trap and the fire trap (apologies for not knowing the correct names off hand). I have 30 trait points sunk into the Protection and Condition Damage tree, 20 points into the critical damage tree (the 2nd one down), and 20 points into the power and condition duration tree.

I would like to keep focusing on this trap build as I have been having a ton of fun with it. I currently use a short bow and an axe/warhorn combo for my weapons. So first million dollar question for you all is if you guys have any recommendations on improving my trappers build at all? Should I respec and sink more points into the crit tree or sink more into condition duration? As far as I know, the Condition Damage seems to be the most important. Also, should I be using different weapons or weapon combos?

For my next million dollar question, the title says it all. Does anyone have any recommendations for a the best set of armor made for my build? I have ~20 gold to spend. Should I be focusing on the Condition Damage specs for each piece of armor/weapons?

I know some of these questions are hard to answer as it requires thorough investigation. something I do plan on doing this weekend. But I figured I would ask these questions in case if any of you know anything offhand. Or know of a set of armor off hand. I would like to get a set of armor thats looks pretty awesome and exotic as well. Im tired of the typical pirate coat/hat style of look. I wanna look mean...and angry!

You can get a set of exotic precision/toughness/critical damage gear in Orr using Karma (42k karma per piece). That sounds like a lot, but if you do the daily you get a jug of liquid Karma. Once you get about 35-40 jugs buy a 50% karma boost from the gem shop. Combine this with a 15% guild boost and a 5% karma banner and each jug gives you 7650 karma. I just bought 2 different sets of exotic gear using this method (if you do the monthly you get 10 jugs so it is easy to earn a full set of exotic armor each month). As far as looks go just find a set of armor that you like and transmute the exotic set to give you your preferred look.
