Sharing Aura's - works with runes?

Nobody reads this subforum so I'll prob get no responses but I'll put it here anyway to save moderators grief.

So if you have the Powerfull Aura's grandmaster trait in water and any time you pop an aura, 5 allies also get it; do you know if that works with the aura's that proc due to runes you might have and not skills. Right now I have Earth runes that give me magnetic aura at certain level and I haven't been paying enough attention to see if my group gets them when it procs (and usually they're dead/close to dead by then...because if I'm dying as a bunker, they're right there with me) but I DON'T think it does.


Am I right? Is that by design? A bug? Any info is appreciated. TIA

It doesn't work and was reported as a bug at one point (was on the Ele known bugs page). Not sure if it's intended or not.

Thanks for that quick reply. I never used to use that trait (use the ones with condition removal on heal for extra survivability) but lately I'm running with an organized guild and we have another ele that runs it, and with my also running it, we have near perma swiftness and fury (no protection though) between the two of us. So I haven't thought about it till recently.

It's not a huge deal I guess, but since my magnetic aura procs when I'm low on health and in trouble, having it be shared then would be fantastic. But I have a feeling that the traits work with skills only and it's not a bug.

The traits only work with the direct skills. The rune was removed from the Ele bugs page but this still remains, might be related:

Powerful Auras — Function bug
Doesn’t share auras granted by Arcane Resurrection trait or those granted via skill combos.

Never use the arcane resurrection trait (just better ones out there for my build) but I can see how that would suck. I guess I didn't notice that my fire aura from magnetic grab wasn't shared...that's kinda crappy too. I think those should be shared as they are caused by your SKILLS! Hopefully that'll happen and would be nice buff to the class.
