I stopped playing guild wars 2, Can someone give me a reason to play again.

When I got the game I was super happy and played it A LOT. But I stopped playing about 2 months ago I would say. Can anyone give me some reasons to continue to play. I have a lvl 80 charr and a lvl 20 or 30 human guardian.

What has changed in the last 2 months and why should I start to play again.

    Thanks

I just started playing again and wow. I used to barely get 30FPS and now im getting 60+ FPS. They must have optimized it or something.

There's been plenty of optimization. There's also a new dungeon (Fractals of the Mists) which some people like. There's a new 80 zone open, not really solo friendly, more for groups. There's been a few changes to different professions. There's a new PvP map to try. And the events have been pretty fun, particularly Halloween. There'll be an event the second half of this month as well.

    Tons of bug fixes too.

Whats that new sword being sold in the trading post? When I use to play the dusk was the thing to get and now there is another one going for an outrageous price of over 500+ gold

Well, dusk and dawn, when put together, make what is essentially a super legendary. One that looks like dusk during the day and dawn during the night (or vice versa). You need both dusk and dawn to craft it. It's nuts.

The new Fractals dungeons are a ton of fun. They made this weird system where the dungeons actually have a difficulty level, rendering it impossible to form a group unless you're running with friends/guildies. If you can overcome that though, the Fractals are a great reason to start playing again.

I am guessing its still impossible to run a dungeon solo?? Man I wish they could figure out a way to let us do that.

The way the fractals are designed is that teamwork is really necessary to some degree, more so than the other dungeons. There's specific areas of fractals that would be ruined by making them soloable. In fact, I think the entire point of them is to cater to the group of people who want more teamwork. Many fractals have mechanics that can't be zerged.

Making them soloable would actually make them boring, and they'd literally have to completely change the mechanics of what's in there now.

When I would play dungeons I loved it when every so often the dungeon had some clever little mechanic where an interesting strategy was involved.

Fractals of the Mist is all interesting mechanics. Really, it's like a breath of fresh air. I love having strategies other than kite and dodge from red circles over and over. You actually have to do different things other than deal straight damage to beat them. They're definitely worth getting back into the game for, if anything to see if you like them.

and dungeons solo? Why? The whole world can be solo'd. The point of dungeons is to give you a team based experience.
