    Lessions learned.

If you had to give a noob one piece of time saving advise for GW2 what would it be. What can I learn from the communites mistakes or sucesses. I personally play a thief right now by the way.

Using WvW as a way to save on way point expenses. If your destination is on other side of Lions Arch, then just travel to any WvW borderlands, and then take the portal to Lions Arch. Save some money on wp cost.

    Other minor ones:

Deposit your collectables so your bags don't get filled.

Never go anywhere without appopriate level gathering tools. Gather everything.

Do your dailies for nice money and karma and xp.

Always be loyal to your krewe.

Who knows... maybe this band can become the next "Destiny's Edge" ;D

BTW: If WvWvW is too full, just take a shortcut through the mists (PvP), you also can get to LA in a matter of seconds.

I think the most important peice of time saving advice is TAKE YOUR TIME. Death and dismemberment will slow down your journey through Tyria. This is esspecially true in dungeons, so many people I've been with (because I like showing/teaching people how to run the dungeon and what to do and what not to do and why) just run in heedless of all advice and die and often cause their teammates to die, where as if they had just taken a moment to look it would have been avoided.

Also, I think this is huge...do your research finding a guild that is active and friendly. (or whatever you want froma guild) Don't just pick one and then complain how nobody is on, or they won't help you or whatnot. Plenty of goo dguilds out there, go find them. Then enjoy the game.

Also, guilds change. If you suddenly find yourself unhappy with a guild, look for a new one. The more friends you have outside your guild, the easier it is to learn about other guilds. And don't forget you can have 5 guilds now.

We got this one on lock. We're gonna form a guild once we get a better handle on the game. If you are on Ferg's Crossing find us. My thief's name is BrewsterBob.

    Don't get zerker gear, ever.
And if you want to be OP in every aspect of the game, roll a warrior.

    Some time saving advice.

There is DR on dungeon tokens, karma, and world loot. There are also two loot tables, the world loot table and fotm loot table. The community has noticed the world loot tables rng being considerably lower than fotm tables rng.

Best avenues for getting lvl cap gear is to do monthly's and dailies saving your karma jugs to use all at once while under some form of karma gain buff (come to think of it I'm not sure if DR effects consumable karma) or stick to fotm for a better rng than the worlds. Crafting is good up until you need ectos which are needed for three different tiers (four including crafting rare jewelry). Magic find gear is great in fotm, in my experience, and terrible in the world. Good MF is around 100% get to work on cooking since food buffs give +MF%.
