I am hating this mini-game in particular. Its impossible to get the achievements (I want the title)![]()
I've found the snowball fight map to be a lot of fun. I'm not a huge PvPer, but I enjoy games like this. Also, it's not a half-bad way to acquire those personalized gift boxes. The ugly items sell fairly decently on the TP, too.![]()
My problem is getting the achievement for killing the carrier, my teams keep winning and when I do kill the gift carrier it never counts.
You don't need to kill them, only down them. The attack that downs them has to be yours for it to count though. I got the achievement by hanging around the opposing team's side, and as the gift carrier approached I would use Snowblind to sneak behind them and follow up with Rush (warrior-specific) > Rapid Fire > Evasive Shot to down the carrier in a matter of seconds. I was always promptly killed by any players who were guarding the carrier, but I didn't care because I only wanted the achievement. Fun fun!
All I do in the snowball game is get clocked and I can't figure out the Bell mini-game at all!

The world is full of pain and sorrow.
Life is fleeting and true moments of joy are few and far between.
Happiness is laced with shards of pain.
The bell minigame isn't that intuitive to get started, but here's a brief breakdown on how it works.
First things first. To start the game you have to wait for a game to start. While no game is in progress, all you can do is teleport around the different stages. You're best off waiting at one stage until it says a game is starting, then talk to the snomman again to give you a part. Also keep in mind, you might not start at the beginning of a game. If someone dies, you can replace someone right in the middle.
Once you can choose a part (high. middle, low), you'll appear on a platform. Use your mouse to change your view so you're looking down from above. You want to see the notes coming down at you. There are eight "lanes" that notes can come down. Each lane is represented by a key. 1-4 and 6-0 on your keyboard.
Unlike a lot of games, you don't hit the key as soon as you see the note. That's where I made my early mistake. You have to wait till the note touches the inner circle, the one you're standing in.
So if you see a note coming down the 1st column, you'd hit 1 when it just about got to you. But every time you hit a wrong note, you lose a bit of health...that's how people die. So make sure you try to hit only the notes that appear.
At the end of each game there's a free play where you can just play music. If you happen to replace someone at that point in the game, no notes at all will come down, and you'll think the game is bugged. It's not. You just got into the game right before the end. After the free play, everyone is kicked out and it starts over with the search for a stage.
Notes come in groups called songs and if you're still there at the end of a song you get credit for one of the achievements.
Hope this helps.
