A Special Moment from Arah (no spoilers)

So we're in the Arah dungeon, finishing the personal story on my ranger--me and four guildies, including my wife.

And we've just finished beating one of the bosses, and after enjoying a lovely cut scene, we're all standing around, waiting for the next bit, when suddenly, for no reason whatsoever, I drop dead. Completely dead. Everyone just stopped and stared at me.

There were no monsters. There was nothing attacking. There was nothing to kill me. And I was just running my hand through my hair (as you do) and boom---dead.

All I can think of is that I had some condition damage on me that wore away at me through the cut scene and eventually killed me just as we came out of it. But it was funny as hell.

My guild will be talking about this for ages. (sighs).

Haha, what a coincidence, I just finished the personal story today too.

Anyway, I think you died because you tried to run your hands through your hair, but it wasn't there... Thus the universe imploded into itself.

    ^ Most likely story.

    That's probably what happened! LOL

Another thing, recently, that annoyed the hell out of me (or the writer part of me anyway) was being in the fractals, and in one the fractals, I was attacked by a Veteran Novice. What the hell is a Veteran Novice. I mean either you're a novice or a veteran, no? lol

I think we had this discussion here before. Perhaps the way it works in the Fractals Establishment of Bad Guys (FEBG) is when you're first recruited or possessed or corrupted you are a Novice, once you've been there for a while (maybe once you've unlocked an achievement for downing Thieves and Ele's) you get promoted to something akin to a Decent Novice, then when you've killed a few Warriors and Guardians you become a Veteran Novice. Veteran Novices can boss the Novices about but they are still required to make the tea and coffee if there are currently no run-of-the-mill Novices in the FEBG's lounge when the real Vets want a brew.

    ...

What annoys me is how during the Jormag event, one of the NPC's says "Don't take your eyes off of it"
I'm not one for bashing Americans or their butchering of the English language but I hate this one, and I wouldn't class myself as an immersion player either but this does really take away from it, for me.

A Veteran Novice is a novice who has been a novice for so long he has seniority.

The world is full of pain and sorrow.
Life is fleeting and true moments of joy are few and far between.
Happiness is laced with shards of pain.

    You know... sometimes, the age...
You think you are ok but, then, you make some extra effort and... it just stops beating...
