Account terminated for modifying or tampering with the game?

I have just had my account terminated for the above reason, but i honestly swear i have not done anything wrong? i know this isn't the right forum and i have submitted a ticket. I think either my account was hacked or i'm not to sure. I have never done any exploits besides maybe a few shortcuts in some dungeons, im just a little disappointed anet has not given me any reason why its "perma banned" and why am i now being denied access to log into the proper forum. I really enjoy the game so this is kinda a big disappointed i have over 1000's hrs logged 3 80's dungeon master title and only just finished creating my legendary so to have my account perma banned is kinda lame

Hi Firebug. If your account was hacked, and used for exploit, let's say farming with bots, it would have to be banned, but such bans can be reversed. I know it sucks when it happens (I've had my account hacked in another game and it sucked), but accounts can also be recovered too.

Anet has no real way of knowing if you're the person hacking or someone else is, but it entirely possible they can restore the account, once they've investigated. Naturally this doesn't make waiting easier, but unfortunately, there's really nothing you can do but wait.

As Vayne said if your account was hacked and used as either a bot or a gold seller then you would have been permabanned right away. The ticket you filed will get the process of sorting things out started.

If you haven't done so already change your the password to the e-mail address you use for the game. As likely if your game has been compromised your e-mail has as well. If you truely were hacked A-net should be able to look at the history of IP log ins and see recently someone from somewhere else has been logging in and get things fixed. Just know you are not the only one this has happened to so don't expect an instant fix.
