Thread: How will this laptop do?

  1. #11
Well, Alienware is definitely off my list. For the time being that is. I'll purchase one of those Alienwares later in life when I have much better income xP
As for Sager, I was dead on for this laptop.. was going to get it. Excellent choice, this is!!

But look at this one, my friend has this laptop and told me it was brilliant.
And the GPU is better than the 2 laptops I was looking at xP
    Cheaper too o.o

I heard my friends opinion on this laptop.
But since your so good and nice, I want to hear yours as well.
You tell me what you think

thats also a nice choice. has 720p rez tho.

    So, what do you think?
Should I just get the Sagernotebook? For it's better resolution?
And just abandon that Newegg laptop, which has a better GPU? Tough choice here

Edit: Thanks for your replies, Skidawgz. You're being a major help here. I am not so good at computers overall and this will be my first laptop purchase! So thank you!

well I never really asked you what you really want....

    a 14" a 15" or a 17" laptop?

Next, what is the max you want to spend? Any of the discussed laptops will run this game well, but you may have other games on your list. Sager has the customization factor, so you can put an SSD in. the 1920X1080p res will look nice as hell too.

Well, my current laptop is a 15.6 so I'm used to that. It's big enough for me and I love it.
I've never really cared about how big the screen is/beautiful the graphics are :P
I'm fine with anything as long as I can run the game, really haha.

About $900-$1000 is max. But anyways, I'm still leaning more towards the sager. Today is the day I purchase a laptop. Since Sager is the #1 for me, that may be it :P
So yeah, Skidawgz... it's been an honor chatting with you/receiving help from you. I'm very happy that you were around to help me! much appreciated

I suggest if you go over budget to pick the one that is $1029.
to stay within budget, the one that is $929.
The diff is the 660m vs the 650m. Both will play this game with ease.

Let me know how it is if you remember!

    I made my purchase
I've got the 17 inch one with the 650m (The 660m is only slightly better, not much of a difference.. just by like 10FPS)
And the intel processor thing was an i7 as well.
But yeah that's what I got! I'll definitely let you know how it goes!
    Should get it on Sunday-Tuesday.
Is there an add friend feature here? I can add you? Or want me to just PM you :P
