I usually have a pretty good crap radar so I dodge most of the stinkers. For one reason or another these movies have seared my eyes. Many of these are offenders because they've raped properties that I love. Others...well, yeah I dunno.

I had no idea of the content before watching it (all I knew was that everyone was being all exited over it) and have no problem with slow paced movies, but the story was just... I don't know. Completely uninteresting to me, and I felt it made no sense whatsoever.
And despite being a really huge film music buff I didn't find that music especially interesting, but to each their own I guess

Ya man I know, no worries. Films are subjective. I think the film attracts way more homesexuals (of course) so it hit high with them. I'm not a homosexual, but it is a superbly made film (cinematography, score, screenplay, directing, editing) So in that regard I praise it. It's story is hit or miss, depending on the person. I found it to be highly amusing, because I hadn't known that to happen in the south, especially the struggle (me not being gay) of being gay, but being afraid to come out in the south.
