    Looking for a med/large PvX guild-Dragonbrand

I’m looking for a tight-knit group of players that are more of a family than a guild. By that I mean social, interactive with events, not demanding of things but appreciative of what I have to offer. The guild must be a decent balance of PvE, WvW and sPvP.

Also, I would appreciate being in a guild that has a background on GW1, so that if I make mention of something that everyone isn’t like “huh?”. Not looking for a lore-elite group, but with a good core group of people who know what the first game had. It’s lonely being the only one that has a clue about where GW2 came from. The guild must have a Voice server that is actively used, whether it’s for random PvE, Dungeons, WvW, or sPvP tournaments.

    My qualifications:

I put a lot of time into games and plan on enjoying everything GW2 has to offer. I have good leadership ability as I have run my own guilds and alliances in GW1. I have run other groups for LOTRO, and GW1, and when I wasn’t leading I was almost always an officer or whatever. I have played every GW2 event aside from the first beta weekend. I have put in about 7,000 hours on GW1 across 2 accounts and every class available and have accomplished GWAMM and 50/50. I have a character of each class, currently with Ranger, and Necromancer at level 80, and working on my Guardian. I enjoy both PvE and PvP and I spend about 40% on PvE and the rest on PvP. In GW1, my husband and I ran a very popular set of in-game events for my guild/alliance that I we have carried over to GW2. I am generous with my time and resources. I do participate on guild forums and if my opinion is asked I will give a straight answer. I am a cooperative player, and enjoy running in groups more than solo.

I am a female… but not one that is easily offended. If your guild drops ‘f-bombs’ or discusses adult humor type things – that is perfectly fine with me.

Think that about sums it up. I’ll consider all responses that fit and decide in a day or two. Feel free to give details or point me to your webpage, etc. so I can get more info on what it is you do. Please be sure to let me know which server you are going to be on and how many members you currently have.

Currently only I am looking for a guild. If I find one that suits both him and myself, he may or may not join at his own free will. We are both located on the Dragonbrand world, where we hope to finally settle into it as home. Please message me or reply to this post if you are interested and I will listen to what you have to say!

Thanks for reading this wall of text!

Hi Evalana...and welcome to the forums. Best of luck in your search for a guild. My guild probably wouldn't be good for you as we have a very sparse SPvP presence, but I wanted to wish you well in your search. Like you, I'm a Guild Wars 1 vet, though I focused a lot more on PVe than PvP. Still, I know where you're coming from in wanting to explore the links between the games. The game is definitely better for me understanding both history and context.

Anyway, hope you find a guild that suits you.

Sorry, I'm on the Tarnished Coast. But maybe when they introduce guesting I can pop around to more servers.

    Guild Philosophy

The Order of the Silver Dragons (OSD) are a long-standing multi-wing gaming community that was founded in 2006, and exists well beyond any one game, being involved in many gaming environments.

What makes the OSD unique is their ongoing commitment to mature interactions, their proud display of civility and concern, their desire for adventure and their healthy placement of value on individual effort and communications. They are known across many gaming servers for taking the high road when situations arise, and they pride themselves in the knowledge that they will always strive to help others. Their continued success stems directly from the OSD officers of this community whom take it upon themselves to uphold these virtues, reminiscent of the fabled Knights of the Round Table, which in turn are mimicked by the community of players within the guild. The source of the success of the officers derives from the wisdom of their community leaders, who have been instrumental in the formation of such a strong community.

The OSD consistently leverage their community talents and imaginations to enhance the gaming experience. Definitely not a hard-core guild, their maturity level allows absolute respect for the various playing styles of the community, however they absolutely still engage in competitive play! Recruitment is an on-going active event between their current members, the leadership and the person who wants to join the OSD. The online forums symbolize the key to this success, being the heart and blood of this organization.

We are all proud to be members of the O.S.D.

    What We Offer
    • A commercial-grade forum that is very active. Our members actively talk within the various gaming communities, as well as discussions of both present and future games for the PC, Xbox360, PS3, etc. There are also forums for general chatter regarding technical issues, books, movies, music reviews... pretty much anything that comes to mind.
    • A commercial Vent server that can be used for raids, groups, pick-up groups... or just to hang out for relaxation with your fellow friends and colleagues.
    • A full calendar system with a robust event scheduling system, and an RSVP mechanism (allowing yes, no or maybe to events).
    • Support and resources inside of the gaming divisions. Our members are never left out in the cold. We take pride in helping our members out with whatever they need across our various gaming divisions.
    • Security in Numbers. Our members are devoted to working together which allows you to quest and adventure in the world with security and peace of mind.
    • Information and Mentors. We have explicit resources to help people learn the specific game and become more skilled, and many of our members are highly-skilled at the top of their class just waiting to pass on their knowledge to others.
    • Frequently scheduled events.Members in our division will consistently schedule Dynamic events, WvWvW, Dungeons and PvP patrols, as well as PvE and RP events.
