Is crafting needed to become godlike in gw2?

i find any form crafting job extremly dull why i didn't like other MMO's then gw1 even in gw1 i managed to obtain obsidian armor after rediclous amount of time (don't want to do it again as i don't think its worth being bored of a game more like a job for just looks, so my question is this. is crafting needed to get perfect gear, or could i find just as good items as drop...?

You don't need to craft a single thing to get the endgame gear. You can get it as drops, through dungeon tokens, from karma vendors, through world vs world, or you could buy the crafted stuff(and the ones you can get as drops) from other players via the trading post.


all exotic gear has the same stats for other pieces like it. What that means is that a dropped item that's Power/Precision/Critical Damage is going to have the exact same stats as a crafted piece that's Power/Precision/Critical Damage
