Thread: about reinstalling the game

    about reinstalling the game

    Hello.

I met people with the same crash problems like me, and told me that unninstall and reinstall the game help a lot or even is the solution.

I am wondering how is a reinstall.

have you reinstall all the patches or just one "superpatch"?

Is there any problem with the key? or just enter again with my account?

I also going to change my antivirus, because I'm thinking heuristics and firewall may produce some of the crashes.

I don't know what crash problems you're getting, but I was having problems with my nvidia card till I underclocked it. I don't crash anymore and it doesn't seem to have affected my in game performance either.

Before completely reinstalling you may want to try adding -repair to your Guild Wars 2 shortcut.

To fully uninstall Guild Wars 2 you just need to delete the files, wherever they may be. Mine are in program files. Just delete everything in that folder and then re-download the client and download the game again.

I don't believe Guild Wars 2 has any registration files to delete.

Mod edit: Edited in case someone is stupid enough to try it. It sounds unlikely but you never know.

This is what finnally save my game:

Change the boot options and use 3gb of memory in the start (Since I dont have a 64 bits W7).

    0 Crashes, 0 problems.

Found the solution in the gw2 official forums, by the way.
