I wanted to post this because I know a lot of PC gamers worry about windows 8. I have had no problems with windows 8 and guild wars 2, and everything has ran smoothly so far. I can go strait to my desktop, and the icon is right there just like Windows 7. Personally, I like windows 8 more than any other windows OS I have used. I don't use the metro (Start Screen) that often, but I actually enjoy the layout. I was worried about getting windows 8 because I heard a lot of Game producers complaining about it, and I know the creator of Steam was upset with it too. But I know a lot of people don't want to use windows 8 because they worry about the start screen. (The screen with all the live tiles on it). But it really isn't that hard to switch to desktop mode. In fact, the desktop is all I really use. I still only use the desktop for internet explorer, because I don't like the metro Internet explorer. The desktop internet explorer is basically the same traditional look (where you have the address bar at the top).

But back to the main reason I made this post, Guild wars 2 runs great on Windows 8, I'm sure it even runs better than it does on Windows 7. So if you are out there looking for a new PC, don't worry about guild wars 2 not being able to run on it. It has worked out perfectly for me so far.
