I'm Omni, also known as Chris IRL. I'm 19 years old and I've just started playing Guild Wars 2, I played GW1 on it's release and was ranked in the top 1000 players. I'm currently only level 12 and using one character, I'm in desperate need of help leveling and with quests. I am also looking for some fellow Guild Wars players to add my Skype/MSN so we can talk and become friends, and play in game together, etc.

welcome to GW2 i'm sure you'll enjoy it. Note the experience can vary from server to server depending what type of stuff your into...some are big into PvP and WvW whereas others take a more casual approach to it, too casual for some, especially those who put results before fun, comrade and a challenge. Not looking for a debate on that lol just that being ranked i assume your a keen PvPer so pointing out if you feel your not getting the experience you want from the scene don't be scared to try another server out while your still new. If you go to the the Mists via your PvP tab you can get into it straight away at any level and may find it useful to help level, you can also use the portal there to transfer to Lions Arch and from there any other major city (will save you lots of money in transport fees) Finding a suitable guild is an obvious way for you to pick up some like minded friends so have a flick through the recruiting section on the forum or look here for guilds on your server. My guilds no good for you, we're all 30+ y/o but you can join different guilds with different chars so can try a couple out at the same time for one that suits you (don't forget to hit represent in the guild tab when invited)

Also its really not a good idea to put active e-mail addresses or personal details on public forums like this, good god i hope thats not the address you use for logging ingame...make sure the e-mail address you use for logging into the game is unique to the game only, do not use it for any other site, generic sites like this are not secure enough against hackers, account hacking is rife nowadays with phishing and db hacking the main source, with collected info resold and distributed around the underworld.

Thankyou for the warm introduction, I just want to rush to level 80 as fast as possible. In need of serious help and don't worry I am a secure person, I have unique emails and passwords for absolutely everything.

Don't be in too much of a rush to get to 80, for the most part there is nothing you can do at 80 you can't do at lvl 5

I'd sorta like to amend this. There's not much you can do at 80 that you can't do at level 30. Of course, prior to level 30, you should be learning the game. Once you get to level 30 you unlock your first dungeon and can get your first elite skill. Some people have called 30 the soft-level cap. I sorta like that. After that you're mostly getting traits, but you have most of your skills worked out by then, which is very different from other games.

Also, lower level characters don't do very well in WvW. You can go there, but you'll die a lot more. Of course, lower level characters have much lower armor repair costs, so I guess that balances out.

True, very true. But I have gained quite a few levels in WvW, and gathered some chest loots... It's helpful + you are gaining more experience..
