Thinking of going thief, Anything better come to mind?

I currently have a Charr Ranger, And to tell you the truth I'm not having much fun with him, he's ok but I just feel like going a new race and class, Thief sounds cool to me. If you could reccoment a more fun class that can handle it's self in Pve/PvP please do, And if I do go thief what should I use with him, Dual dagger+ Pistols, bows, idk. Please help.

I have one of every profession and I am enjoying my thief. She is only lvl 30 and is doing dual pistols and dual daggers. I like every profession, but I think I will be making this thief my next level 80 toon (I already have a lvl 80 ranger/ele/warrior). Good luck!
