Mature player seeking UK / EU guild

Hi folks,

I'm a UK / EU player; been playing GW2 since very first beta event. Been playing MMOs since 2002 starting with EverQuest, then EQ2, CoH / CoV (RIP), Lotro, WoW etc etc. I've been in mainly "family" casual guilds of which I'm still an officer in EQ1 for over 10 years.

I'm 45 but still a big kid at heart. I'd describe myself as an "explorer" mmo player in that I like to take in the scenery and lore of a game rather than do the min/max thing. I've never been "leet", but I'd like to say in all the games I've played I've managed to get above average gear and skills.

To date in GW2 I've focussed on PvE. I only have one level 80 (ranger) but my new main Guardian is now 66.

I've done all this solo - Pugs suck. Although this game doesn't seem to need grouping or a guild for normal PvE I'd like to get to know some regular guildie players for dungeons (which I've not stepped foot in yet!).

I'd also like to start getting into some WvWvW in some kind of structured play. I've jumped into a couple of zergs but found it kind of meaningless on my own!

I'm currently on Gandara but happy to move to the right place.

Hey there Regallion!

Very cool introduction you've got there! You seem to be an interesting guy who enjoys the game contents to its fullest! Very experienced in the MMO scene too. Props for holding your own for that long though, leveling and gearing solo mustn't be easy!

We from Extraordinary Gentlemen [EXG] seem to be similar to what you stand for. Enjoying the game contents on our own terms and having fun playing with a large group that grew rather close to eachother over time. You could say we are quite ambitious when it comes to leadership and guild affairs, where we always try our best to provide the best suitable environment for each personality inguild.

Such wouldn't be possible with the community we have this day. As we are known for a PvX guild, we run daily PvE dungeons and WvW scheduled parties. Due our large community, our members have specific interests and focusses where a team leader helps those members out in organizing parties and scheduled raids!
More importantly is our TeamSpeak server, where we log on daily and most of the time before we even launch the game. Pure socilizing!

Nevertheless, we play on Desolation! As we are an International guild with members from the USA. Europe and Asia, you pretty much find members online all the time. We are a very active social guild of players from all over the world who have been playing together for years. We aren't the type of people to give up easily and call it "quits" by throwing in the towel. We won't tolerate PvP tea parties or dungeon mega-NAPs; we play on our own terms, and we have fun doing it.This is not a guild where you'll log in and nothing's going on. We play Guild Wars together, We call psychic hotlines and escort services. Even if you're not doing anything in particular, you can always come on TeamSpeak. This is where we reside and hang out most of the day. In EXG we feel that words can only express so much and that no one has to type full sentences while dodging an angry Centaur. At the end of the day, and at this point in the MMORPG scene, would you rather sit in a guild with 500 people, not knowing or caring if you make a difference? Or would you rather be in a guild taking on the odds and making an impact?Up untill now, this is only the beginning. Being a Member of EXG grants endless possibilities. We give our members the oppertunity to grow inside the guild. This means they can get promotion in the ranks. This may vary from forum Admin to Ingame Officer. Due our large community and the high offer of content, alot of things needs to be done. We occasionally add careers inside our crew which helps you develop skills you can apply in real life aswell.

As we have mentioned before, we have alot of content circling around inguild. We have the typical Guild Events customized by our members and our members needs. A large forum with dozends of sections and topics where you can discuss, talk and spam the area. The forum has alot of features to play around with, to keep forum posting interesting. Not to mention our very own Guild Bar called TeamSpeak where our members reside. Also our website who gets a weekly update to stay ahead of any other guild providing the best content a player and member needs to know. (Note: Currently our new website is work in progress, so stay tuned for the big launch!)

I am running a guild on the european server Aurora Glade, and i think we would fit you almost perfectly
We are very casual and there are often a lot of different activites going on, so it's easy to join some guild members to play with. We are helping people grinding for dungeon tokens, or doing fractals together! There are also a part of us that love to roam the WvW borderlands in smaller groups, for some epic and intense fights!
It's not a problem at all that you're 45, since we have other players in the fourties and we all get along nicely! Age doesnt matter, its all about having fun together.
We're a medium sized guild, so we're not aiming to zerg WvW or have hundreds of players in the guild that you dont know.
