    Warrior Pet?!

I have a norn warrior, and all of a sudden this bird is following me around and fighting for me. He even has the guild tag. Does anyone know why this would happen? I didn't think warriors got pets. Either way, its still pretty badass.

What kind of bird...owl? Parrot? I believe there's a racial skill for norn that allows you to summon an owl to fight for you.

There's also a bird that can be summoned if you're wearing six runes of the pirate.

The owl only flies in and drops a bleed on the target it's not a summon. The tropical bird from the pirate runes is the most likely bet.

Maybe, but it's hard to imagine someone having six runes of the pirate and not knowing it, or knowing that they do. Then again, I guess the same could be said about a skill.

The only thing I can think of is the runes. None of the weapon skills do it, and there aren't any Norn racials that call a bird as a pet.

Well, there's the Gem Store pirate sword that lets you summon a Tropical Bird too but it's not a combat pet. He would have to knowingly cast it since it's the number 5 ability on the sword.

Yep I agree. I just wonder how you get 6 runes of the pirate without knowing it.

Sorry, I just revisited the forum, but yeah it was because I had 6 runes of the pirate. I was just confused because it said I would summon a parrot, and when the bird is actually summoned it is labeled as Tropical Bird. I didn't really think of it, but one of friends told me why.
