Unhappy This is becoming quite unbearable now.

I've got to say that the wait is actually starting to kill me. Anet just couldn't keep their mouths shuts. The recent announcement of the beta has made highly impatient. At first I was just browsing through random videos and info, maybe 15 seconds every day. Now I've spent at least hours looking up info and every time I do I begin to because it's not coming in the next couple of weeks.

I've been doing things to pass time, to no avail:

    1. Exercise (nope, my legs are starting to hurt)
    2. College (nope, in fact I can't concentrate)
    3. Play other games (how can I when they're inferior)
    4. Rewatch films (I think I'm done rewatching DRIVE for the third time this week)

Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm seriously contemplating having my first child. Maybe that will help my situation.

Ghosts of Ascalon and The Edge of Destiny, both simple reads and give you a little back story on the lore. I've picked up other games and am appreciating them for what they are and noting what I'm going to be glad to be rid of once the game comes out. Wakfu is a Final Fantasy Tactics type of game that's in beta and I think even upon release is going to be free to play. You can download the client and play right away. This game is pretty far from your typical MMORPG so it might distract you for a while, no promises though.

Anything that hasn't got any similarities to WOW is fine by me.

I'm guessing if you havent started on the first kid...well it would be ~10 months till the kid joined the world...and by then GW2 will be out and you'll have to spend more time taking care of the kid then you will playing the game and well that really isnt as much fun as playing the games with the kids...I should know I have 2 of them and my eldest has been playing games with me since she was 6months old.

Remember the only problems kids ever solve are those of too MUCH sleep, too MUCH money, and too LITTLE noise...but I wouldnt trade mine in for anything in the world.

To be honest i don't mind waiting. Gives them more time to improve it i suppose!

Sounds like you have way too much time on your hands, and are simply bored. If you have a partner (which I suspect you do, as you're talking about having a child), why not spend more time with the partner? Take day trips, go out shopping, go watch some new movies or series that you haven't seen yet, go to the theater or to a concert, do other things together... whatever she(?) likes. It should help take your mind off the game a bit, and time will go by quite fast. It works for me.

Yes, I'm very much looking forward to GW2, but I prefer they take the time to get it right, and I will just wait.

I agree that it sounds like you have too much time I know where you're coming from, though. I can't even remember when it was that I started waiting for GW2, I remember seeing the 1st profession reveal, the Ele, so I was waiting before that. 1st profession reveal was also the first time we saw any in-game footage, so that was pretty long ago.

I'll admit I have too much time on my hands as well. University works in 3 trimesters/year for me and the third is only intended for international students so they can finish a year early and go home to save them money. Unfortunately that means I have an awkward 4 month period where my work load goes down a lot. I'm filling time by trying to do something useful for myself, I study IT so I've set up an Apache server on my laptop and started developing a website for it. Hopefully I'll get enough time to make something useful out of it, as well as perhaps make some sort of resume-type page. Besides that I'm also brushing up on some programming, though I'm having trouble thinking of things to make that help me learn.

As far as games go, I've finished Final Fantasy 7 and 8, starting FF9 on an emulator even though it's not sucking me into the story any where near as much. Right now Binding of Isaac is what I'm playing, which is a 100% disturbing game but strangely addictive, I blame the rogue-like features of the game for the latter.

Sounds like you need more Skyrim in your life. It's kept me pretty distracted the last month or so.

Lol, don't worry I'm being sarcastic. Just using hyperboles to describe how excited I am for the game!
