Coming back to GW2, few questions

Hey guys, played a bit of beta and then from release onwards for like 2 months. Got a level 80 guardian, and a couple 30ish other characters. Guardian has pretty good gear, mostly orange if I recall correctly. Life got busy, and I was slightly burned out after doing nothing but playing in my free time for quite a while. Coming back to the game and wondering whats changed since October ish? Here's a couple basic questions I have:

What classes are seen as slightly above/below the rest now?

How are dungeons? They scaled them to be incredibly difficult right before I left, so wondering how hard they are these days.

Is PvP still active most days?

Also I'm on Dragonbrand server if anyone wants to recruit me...

    Thanks!

I'll just answer the dungeon question, since it's the only one I'm at all qualified to answer. The answer is, it depends largely on the dungeon. Explorable modes in Arah and Crucible of Eternity are notably harder than other dungeons for example, where as explorable modes in Ascalonian Catacombs and Citadel of Flame are relatively easy. There can also be great differences between different paths of the same dungeon.

But the biggest difference now is that most people are running fractals which most people seem to like better than the dungeons, including me. The fractals keep repeating and getting harder and harder, but the layout and boss battles are more entertaining than the original dungeons.

Also, Anet has said they'll be redoing dungeons this year, making them more in line with the fractals, so this might not be the best time to start dungeon crawling.

With regard to your question on professions and which are better or worse, it largely depends who you ask. For every person that says a profession is OP another says it's not. For every person who says a profession is unplayable, another person loves it.

Dragonbrand!!! Hi Sanctos. I am of bran eaters inc a small & slightly zombie themed guild. By small I mean abut 5ish players. http://braineatersinc.shivtr.com is our site, so you have a better idea. We will eventually be build on members doing various events, not just me so there will be more variety.
As for your questions. Hmm I did not play in October, so I can only tell you about my limited experience since Dec. I have done AC SM and AC Exp path 1 and 2 and they are not so bad. I remember when my husband first did AC (I think it was SM) it was really hard & they wiped a bunch of times. I have yet to wipe in a group, but I personally die a lot.
As far as pvp it seems pretty active. One thing that kind of sucks is little groups like to take over a server & claim it as their own so they can stand around and duel each other. You have to bounce around repeatedly until you find people that are actually playing the game.

I could really go on forever, but I should get going. maybe I'll see you around.

oh and plz contact the guild GMs Rim.9321 or Rotten.6307 for more info and/or invite if you are interested.
