First off you're misspelling "Nords".

Secondly: Nords are literally revamped Vikings.

Even the Nord rankings were inspired by Vikings. The King and his Jarls ruling over Skyrim just as they did in our history with Europe. Even Talos in Skyrim is a spinoff of mythology.

I love Tyr by the way Fey Its gonna be different game anyhow. More first person and the combat won't really be that deep. It will just be a FPS with swords, but I may be wrong. No real tactics either in fighting, apart from shield, backpedaling a lot and changing spells. Again, I may be wrong. I just can't see it being on par with other mmorpg's

GW2 didn't rip off of the Elder Scrolls, both of them ripped off of real life, particularly early medieval Scandinavians. They're called "Norse" on Earth, "Nord" on Tamriel, and "Norn" in Tyria. In WoW they played with the word "Viking" instead and made a race called "vyrkul" that lived in the frosty north.

Actually, it's been confirmed that in TESO when you're in first person view you wont see your hands/weapons/spells etc. You'll just be in first person lol.

Hey guys, I don't want to start a thread about this because...I'm just some guy here and in the end who cares.

I have decided to stop playing the game for a while and thus there is no need to post on the forums. The WvW patch being pushed back to march finally broke my desire to play this game...and their reference to "power progression" during that announcement reminded me about why I think this game lost it's soul.

So to all those still in game and enjoying it; I wish you the best of luck and I'm in no way bashing the game. We all like different things and the game has changed into somethnig that I don't like personally. And thus I will join my friend Centaur. Good luck and god speed.

Them pushing the patch back isn't too bad, I mean its better than them putting it in and it messing things up more cause it wasn't ready.

But the hint about power progression and WvW only skills is worrysome. I'm not taking a break yet though, I'm going to keep enjoying the game while I can, because when this does come through and if its anything like what other games have done similar then I'm done, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I have been talking to one of my guild members in teamspeak, he works with EA now and use to work with ubisoft. He told me that he has been talking to the devs and they said that the game will most likely fail. There are so many bugs, and it probably wont even come out till next year. He also said that one of the guys told him its just wow in elder scrolls form. He didn't exactly say it like that, but I feel that if this is true, then elder scrolls is going to suck ass.

It's not like that, these are major bugs. Like you could fall off the map and die, or jump on top of a chest and the be stuck in mid air. And there are a lot of them apparently.
