    Pets "forget" their names.

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum; please move if needed.

My pets forget their names when not in use i.e. only the one I have up or the one I swap to tend to retain the name I give them. If I choose another pet from the list, it seems to revert back to "juvenile snow leopard" or whatever.

    Is this intentional?

    Thanks.

Apparently, pets that you use (the two you swap between) can both retain their names (unless you tame another pet which will will reset it). There seems to be no provision for keeping all pets named. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but it's been like this since beta.

So basically if you use four pets, 2 underwater and 2 above water, all the time, they can retain their names. But if you want to name ALL your pets, you're out of luck...at least for now.

Ah, that's a shame. OK, thanks.

Its a common complaint on the official forums and I think the devs have said they intend to fix it, but its low on their to do list.

It would be so nice if they did fix this. I tend to cycle through more than just a few pets and I prefer all my pets to have names, but I admit that I've given up renaming every single animal I pull out of storage. lol

I'm sure they'll get to it eventually.

Yes. It would be nice to have this fixed, but in the overall scheme of things it is a small thing. I too have given up renaming my pets after I swap them back in as it is just not worth it.
