Thread: Another promisse broken

Jesus christ, this guy's thread are getting worse everytime.
Don't you get bored of looking for negative things all the time? Just quit the game or enjoy it for the things you like about it.
If you're going to be a negative ninny atleast do some research on the subject first and have atleast some basis to bring it up.

Like vayne said, they said no mounts at launch, the only way you could read it as no mounts ever is if you just read half the sentence which takes it out of context anyway.

But on top of that...Im not sure what the presence of mounts really changes for a person...so even if they did lie (which they didn't) this is an odd thing to take an issue with. You can still play the game the same way you always have since you PVE...or you can chose to ride a mount. I'm not sure why you'd care about this in PVE at all. If they allow this in PVP, I haven't thought enough about if this would make a difference by allowing groups to travel faster making it a bit pay to win.

Exactly, he just doesn't make sense at all.. I think a few people have come up with the idea mounts should be cosmetic like most of the things in this game are (just like the broom) so they won't make any difference to anyone, especially if you move at normal speed anyway.

I think mounts should stay out the game but that's my opinion.... or atleast not make them as stupidly big as WoW so you cannot see NPCs |:

I can't think of any creatures I've seen around the world that would make any decent mount, ofcourse they could introduce new ones just for the purpose though... Well there's plenty for asura since they're so small LOL

I'm sorry but either you die alot or you have a really poor concept of travel. I pay maybe 20s a day waypointing. But then I do use the back door to LA.

As for the cosmetic broom or the tonics that transform you into things, you can't jump or do combat in them (other than the brawl with others in cosmetics) so if you really want to use them outside a city have fun dieing.

As for getting mounts in the future, well I could care less. I don't need one, but they have never said no mounts I think all they said no to were flying mounts since they don't want people to be able to bypass areas, but explore.
Meh, on a saturday of just running achievements (seeive master, Jumping Puzzles) I have spent 2gold on waypoints. Your comment on my play habits or less then constructive. You must play alone to be able to always use the lions arch shortcut. When you have people waiting on you, you would be classified as rude making them wait out of thriftiness.

So, do you have no friends to play with or are you just rude?

In the future, please refrain from comparing my experiences with your skewed opinions.

    thanks, good talk

lol, I must be rude then because I alway used to use the lions arch shortcut...because back when I was PVEing I was broke.

But that was the exception Alex no? The jp's were for the monthly achievement? You're not going to waypoint that much regularly are you? I don't think that guy was trying to "judge" your playstyle (I certainly am not) but we've all played the game so that seemed high to him for "regular" gameplay and it seems high to me. For a one time thing (or something you do rarely) I can certainly see it, but I had the same thought as him, I just didn't post it. I didn't read it as confrontational though.

No I play with friends often, they also use the back door to LA and we never have trouble waiting on others. And I wasn't really rude I was simply pointing out how many teles it would take to get to 2 gold a day. But now you say it was only one day that you did that. Funny how the story changes. If you can't understand what a poor concept of travel is well sorry I'll explain, having a poor concept of something means you don't understand how to do it effectively, since we were talking about costs it means you don't do it cost effectively. So I suppose you tele to every waypoint closest to where you are going even when its only 2 steps away or you die alot, and are forced to tele alot. It wasn't a comment on your play habits, it was a list of the possible reasons for you to have to spend so much coin on teles.

In the future realize what I am comparing.

I would just like to see pve mounts for the reason of offering me an alternative to the waypoint system. Which I currently feel is another gold sink designed to line anets pockets.

Well, what we are discussing now, is the comparison of of whether time => money. I dont want to sacrifice play time to save coin. I choose to spend that abhorrent amount on travel expenses. You and your friends dont. Im glad you saved some money.

If you dont like what I post, dont answer it, simple as that. No means NO, never in English NO means maybe. Period.

    I thought no meant yes.

Maybe thats why I had bad luck dating

It if people with sense dont read it and correct you then newbies will might actually listen to you and get a false impression of the game/developers.

And no means no if used on it's own. I have no crisps in my house right now, If I went to the shop and bought some I would then have some. Is it that hard to comprehend?
