I know Mayito a lot longer than you, and I've seen a LOT of his conversations. Yes, he uses humor, but the fact is, he wasn't complaining about the game not being mature enough. He was complaining that his reflexes aren't good enough to do them, just as he complains he's not good enough to do Orr.
I'm 51, and I don't think jumping puzzles are immature. That you judge them so, doesn't make them so. In fact, I find them entertaining. They're another form of content. Anet has offered content for LOTS of people and people can choose the content they want to do. If you want to do nothing but SPvP, go for it. I think it's a waste of time, but that doesn't matter. If you love big scale battles, go into WvW. If you like jumping puzzles do them. They've created a host of attractions and people get to pick what they like.
Anyone who says jumping puzzles are stupid or childish are insulting everyone who enjoys them. It's not only intolerant, but disrepectful.
I enjoy jumping puzzles. And I don't think he actually has problems with reflexes. In fact, I don't think he is as old as you think he is. You are still thinking about it the wrong way. Even though jumping puzzles are fun, they are still immature. The world Arena Net has given us, can be fun at parts, but most of it gets boring because the gameplay is either too easy, repetitive, or doesn't really have an affect like Arena Net said it would. (Dynamic Events, Hearts). Arena Net has good ideas, but the execution of these ideas are lacking. They shouldn't make the game so bland and cliché. I feel like I could have written all the dialogue. Arena net needs to make the game more difficult, I'm not talking about making the enemies harder to kill, I'm talking about making the game more fun by actually making us use strategy, and having us decide what decisions to make, that actually affect the world around us. That's what dynamic events are supposed to be. This game could be more fun, if they didn't make it easy enough for an 8 year old to pick up and start playing it. Which is why mayito is representing himself as an elderly person. Saying we are older than this. Even though it's ironic because sometimes old people are just as able as toddlers. Which makes it even more funny. Because he's being sarcastic with it. It's too easy because I am too old, but really its not, it's really too easy because the game feels like it was made for kids. But there is no way that Arena Net thinks we are that young, so they must think that we are really old right? Of course, mayito doesn't actually think that, he is saying that since Arena Net hasn't made the game as fun as it could be, it has become too easy and boring. I feel the same way.

OMFG, you aren't even listening to what I am saying. You guys just wanna be like, "HOLY SHIT, HE SAID SOMETHIN BAD ABOUT JUMPING PUZZLES". Maybe this game is made for little kids and elderly people. ESO is going to destroy this shit.
I lol'd. I don't care what you think about jumping puzzles. But calling a type of gameplay "childish" by default is retarded. Jumping puzzles are essentially 3D platforming segments and platforming takes skill. Childish vs mature is irrelevant. Either you're able to complete them or you can't.
Age has nothing to do with it.
If you are so concerned with ESO go sign up for closed beta if you haven't already, but you can't compare a game that isn't even in open beta to one that is out. ESO isn't going to destroy anything, unless each install file for the game when it comes out contains a secret code to delete other mmos from your pc. ESO will be ESO, WoW will be WoW, GW2 will be GW2. Some people will like one more than others some will like none of them.
lol, as a man that LOVED, absolutely loved, Skyrim and is looking forward to ESO...I am beyond worried it will be riddled with bugs. Ths is their first MMO and Bathesda is known for launching things with plenty pf bugs. Also they haven't picked a suscription model yet (p2p? though I hope not) so that is another concern. Will the sides be too unbalanced? Will the combat system be engaging? Will their WvW be fun and challenging? I hope the game is good, but way too early to be so sure it will be the shit.
I'm signed up for the beta, so I'll gues I'll see when that rolls around.
