Thanks for the offer, but I'm not much of a FPS gamer. I play when my friends really want me to, but for the most part they aren't for me
I prebought gw2 so I could get into beta and I was super surprised when I got into tsw beta (although towards the end) but yeah I need to find some more bags...
If I get in to ESO great, but since its closed I won't be allowed to sayand hey if they do f2p I'll buy it and play it and gw2 until I can't stand one or the other, if they do sub fee, well I'll wait til it goes free.
While its an MMO and sure to have its flaws, it is not actually a Bethesda game its a Zenimax title. The interesting thing is Zenimax seems to have developed it in conjunction with Skyrim and the head of Zenimax is the guy who brought you DAOC. I am willing to bet it better than a stock Bethesda game, and more along the line of semi polished MMO sort of bugs.
Maybe they will still have arrows to the knees![]()
It's really hilarious how widespread this one phrase has become. I laughed so hard when I was playing LEGO Lord of the Rings with my family and one of the Rohan guys that had a side quest said he couldn't do it himself because he'd taken an arrow to the knee.
The coming of ESO is a fascinating event to watch unfold, particularly following the history of TOR's fiasco. I wonder how well they will do. I've heard repeatedly that ESO's combat is "clunky," though I have no idea why people believe this or where the information comes from. I heard another person say it had an awful lot of GW2 tossed into it, but I don't know what that means, either. I'm guessing they're trying to say that ESO will have open tapping or resource nodes that can be shared or DEs...things like that.
Yeah I heard that ESO does have a lot of GW2's ideas in it, go watch the video of the devs talking about it. You will see what they mean by it has GW2 tossed into it. I know that ESO will have hot keys like GW2, but there aren't going to be cool down times for your combat. I also heard the UI is very clean and that there isn't much on screen, like an Elder Scrolls game would be, and we will still have the compass at the top, health majicka and stamina bar at the bottom. Another cool thing is that we will have the option to use first person, and I know that it would be hard to stay in first person playing an mmo, but I think I will use it when there is less action going on around me. I don't care if there are bugs in the beginning, as long as the game has good gameplay. One of the things I do worry about, is the mega server, I don't know if my internet connection can handle that many players at once. All I can say is, the game better be optimized for this to work and also the world must be massive if all of us are going to be on the same server at once.
