Other orders in gw2

hi forum,

does anybody know if you can get into and complete initiation into the other orders in gw2? i'm currently in the vigil but wanted to get into the wispers and priory to get all the banners on the start screen?

someone please drop some knowledge.

To do the story mode quests of the other orders you would have to create a new toon and join that order when you get to that point in the story.

You can join only one on any given toon.

they should make it that you can join all 3 on the same character

I don't think that this is going to happen. They want you to make mutiple toons, because then you spend more time with the game and therefore are more likely to spend money on gems.

I would, however, go for an order change scroll from the gems store. lol I have a bad habit of changing my mind on my characters and could see myself switching orders for a couple of them. Besides, the whole permanency thing freaks me out in general. lol

I don't know...I don't really see myself, in the end, as being in any of the orders. I think that as you follow the story you eventually supercede the orders...and move onto something else. The orders are temporal and your role evolves. So I'm not sure that having a way to change which order you actually belong to is that important.

I choose a different order for each of my first three toons mostly so I would experience a slightly different storyline. Beyond that the only difference is the order armor you can choose (so look at that before you choose an order if you prefer one armor over another).

Unfortunately the Orders don't see this like you (and me) and they still won't allow you access through their portal to Fort Trinity even if you are The Commander

Being in multiple orders on one character wouldn't make a lot of sense. The orders are bickering with each other, and part of the story is to convince the orders to unite. Once they've united of course, it's like Vayne said, you have superseded them and it wouldn't make sense anymore.
