Guardian Question for experinced players

I just got my guard to 80. Time to get full exo gear and start Fotm with him. I've pretty much been a warrior the whole time so far.

Ive been searching and searching and I can't seem to find clear builds that give you stats and gear and utility skills. Most are lacking and not detailed and since you invest probably 50-60 gold to gear him up completely I'd like to go in with a plan.

My goal is to be a support guardian. I hear people saying that support is crap, that damage is key but I've been in high level Fotm and let me tell you, a guard who heals and protects etc is GOD..lol Some fights are so long that even double damage by a guard is useless if you turn around then your team is down... But i know that i will have a full set of Zerk gear anyways for PvE so feel free to give me a build with zerk gear too.

So I would really really love a build, even a vanilla build, for guardians. Feel free to use any gear and runes. Again, would be so awsome if someone would help out. Im really in the dark with this.

Full support shout build with sanctuary for book - you can swap out greatsword for staff depending on what you're going for as well as fiddling with the heal depending on the situation

Well I can't give you advice on a support guardian, since mine isn't, but I can tell you it shouldn't take 50-60 gold to get full exotics. I spent 15 gold to finish off my guardian, and that was just from buying 6 runes and 3 sigils for weapons. My armor and trinkets came from karma vendors in orr and WvW badges. Sure you may not want to WvW stats, but you can get a variety of different armor from the temples in orr, you'll just have to visit several to get a full set of the same stated unless you want a rounded build.
