I don't know if you have already paid for the items above but I do not think it makes sense (as a gamer) to pay $220+ for a CPU then only $120+ for the GPU. You should buy a cheaper CPU and pair it with a Radeon HD 7850 or Geforce 660 or 650Ti. The 7770 is no slouch, but it will not keep up with your CPU. By spreading some CPU money to the Graphics you can play on high.

I gave you items that only totaled $400 on purpose so that if you found out you needed or wanted something different it was still in budget. I'd highly recommend the money going towards a graphics card.

That is not a surge protector that I would recommend, it is more like a plug splitter. I meant this: Belkin or even better THIS

The Joule rating is supposed to be an indication of how hard of a hit they can take. If lightning strikes too hard nothing can stop it, but this should help out with the small stuff.

I think you made good choices except the surge protector is not something I would buy or use to low quality.
The faster of the processors is a good choice and the 7770 video card will run what you said just fine.

I know this matters he uses a HD TV for a monitor it's 800p

Yeah I only guessed 720 because it's closer to 800, but then again 1080 has an 8 in it so I don't even know any more, lol.
