    Mystic forge

Does anyone know if they increased chances of getting better items from the mystic forge? I have been having better luck, and I have noticed that dusk prices have been decreasing rapidly, im thinking about gambling gold that I have saved up for a chance to get one. If it happens that I get it, ill shit myself.

Good luck...I don't play around with it because it's a good way to lose money. The RNG has not been strong with me so far. Hope you get a precursor but hold of on the soiling yourself part

lol yeah, just know that if I do get one, I will totally brag about it on here, so if you don't see me posting about it, its cause I lost all my gold in the mystic forge

At the moment, I am trying to decide if I should gamble rares or exotics, they of course will be level 80, but I feel that the trick is too use the same stats as dusk, which is power, precision, and critical damage, this might have nothing to do with it, but if it works I will definitely let you guys know.

Thats sounds like a good plan. I never really considered the stats idea you mention.

I have been looking at a lot of youtube videos, and I noticed that it has some to do with stats. I saw this guy gamble all carrion greatswords, about 300g worth. And he got neither dusk or dawn. Dusk and Dawn have the same stats, so I am planning on using berserker greatswords. The good thing is that I have the chance to get either of those precursors. I also heard that its best to craft what you are gambling and I plan on doing that too. Which only makes sense anyways, because if I bought a lot of one type of greatsword, I would be spending too much on some of them. Another thing I am thinking about doing is gambling 4 different types berserker greatswords. I think it will increase my chances even more because I will be less likely to get the same greatsword that I am putting in. I know that everyone says the mystic forge is just random, but I feel that there is some formula in it. I have been experimenting with sigils and looking at how the mystic forge reacts to different types and different levels of sigils. And I have noticed that there is a pattern with those. Usually what the mystic forge spits out is something relatable to what I am putting in. And then other times it is just random.

Notice how he was mostly getting rampager items. Rampager greatswords have two of the same stats as carrion, Power and Condition Damage. Coincidence?

The forge does indeed use a formula to determine what you get out of it. Because computers use formulas and algorithms to do everything they aren't able to truely make a random choice. Its just the algorithms can be so complicated they appear random. Take any boardgame played on a PC that has dice in it. In real life rolling the dice will get you a random outcome. On a PC the dice roll is put through an algorithm and then your roll is determined based on whatever factors the programers chose to use to include in the pc's "thought" process. I've seen come game codes where the die rolls were actually affected by the exact time your PC reported to the game. It all depends on how creative the programers are.

As for the mystic forge the Devs have mentioned a lot of factors that are used to determine your chances of getting a precursor out of the forge, but by no means have they said them all, because then everyone would do it and get one. I think the wiki has all the things the devs had said on the matter in the official forums. But good luck and hopefully you'll make some money and not go broke.

By the way I think I am going to go with rares, because I will lose less gold this way.

Good luck! I saw a Youtube video of someone doing this (can't remember if he used rares or exotics) and didn't get anything good. But if you have the time and money then go for it!
