My vision of a "perfect" gw2

Start with the current base game (races and classes and traits and skills).
The world is also very nice.
Max level 20. Have the starting zones be level 1 - 15. Have a couple 15 - 20 zones. Then the rest of the world is level 20.
Have more workable builds for each class. As-is, you can look at a character and his weapons and have a very good idea of what he can do. There should be more options available that actually work.
Maybe have more skill options or trait choices available, or have them easily and cheaply switched around.
Make more pvp options. WvWvW is nice, but I spend FAR more time building castles than I do fighting. It really does need revamped. Make the maps smaller, which would force more fighting to happen.
More team pvp matches. Really, more pvp in general. I don't pvp constantly, but this game is very limited in comparison to gw1.
Have lots of cool cosmetics available as rewards for completing level 20 quests. Maybe other things, as well. That way people would have a real reason to keep adventuring.
I don't know anything about the dungeon system. Not sure if it needs anything or not.

Oh yeah, have REAL TUTORIALS. Explain the basics of the game. Don't just drop a new player into a small instance and let him drown. Especially for after you get crafting. Have a small quest that explains it and shows how it works (especially that you can swap professions and not lose any progress).

Just curious, but why level twenty as maximum?

On a personal note, I don't PvP. At all. So, in my perfect GW2 world, there'd be no PvP. GW2 is different things to different people

As for the tutorials: at first, I hadn't a clue what to do and felt very lost. Four months in and trying not to look at spoilers or "how to's", I'm comfortable in PvE and have figured out the crafting system. Now, I'm glad there's limited "training" - I prefer to work things out for myself if I can. But hey, that's just IMHO and not meant as a flame.

Why does it need more tutorials. Just ask someone. Like you would in real life when coming up against something you are unfamiliar with.

Jhn 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

My perfect GW2 would have a few changes and I won't list them all *cough* culling *cough*

More diveristy in WvW maps, the BLs all being the same is nice in the idea of "fairness" but a little diveristy is much better I think. You could still have "fairness" with different maps, it would just take longer to create 2 other unique maps and so they didn't. And EB needs to be spread out or add more underground tunnels because as it is everyone is forced into certain lanes and it promotes the zerg instead of promoting lots of small to mid sized groups being moble and ninja like.

Biggest thing I wish for (other than a culling fix) is that you could capture unoccupied enemy siege. It wouldn't be a quick capture, but kind of like sentry 60 secs to take it and if interrupted you would have to start all over. I know this won't happen so don't bother flaming me for it. But I just like the idea of being able to capture siege, I mean every night we take a tower or a keep where they've left golems just imagine if we could make use of them instead of loling while we kill them.

The dailies are the only thing making me log on, tbh. I love the game but it's just so sluggish with the awful, awful targeting, skill cooldowns, and the time it takes to fire one skill after another. Downed states targeting the wrong players so you waste your skills/die, shitty auto-attacks (so annoying as an Ele, randomly attacking passive mobs whenever you switch attunements) the lag between actually selecting another target and your attacks actually going towards them (I'm hitting mob A constantly even though I selected mob B ~6 seconds ago) 500 hour loading screens, make a cup of tea and check facebook whenever I port anywhere... overall I just think the game is SO DAMN SLOWWWW

Possibly not helped by my shit internet but other games are better than this. Why does everything I do feel like I have marmalade stuck to my feet or I'm doing it in wet cement. My comp can more than handle it.

So yeah besides everything feeling absolutely pointless my main concern is the horrible sluggishness of it.

That sounds like you have PC/connection issues. I'm playing from the UK - not sure where you're based - and the game flies for me even with most stuff set on high. Have you tried lowering the settings? If that doesn't work it does, as you say, sound like you have a crappy ping.

I sign on everyday after 7pm EST to do my daily. I appreciate that Anet created the laurels to allow those of us who don't enjoy fractals to get ascended gear. I just wish that there was a way to get them faster...LOL. The new gear also is a money saver since I can use laurels to equip toons instead of crafting exotic gear and having to use expensive ectos and T6 mats. It may take a while to equip each of my lvl 80 toons, but they can remain in rare jewelry until I get enough for them ...say in a few years.
