Fairly new player looking for casual guild

Hello, I recently started playing GW2 and I am loving it so far. I've been doing all right by myself so far, but I decided to check out some guilds and see if I am interested in any of them. I'm new to all this so I don't really know all the ins-and-outs of guilds in GW2, so any help is appreciated. My timezone is PST, I'm usually on from about 7:00pm to 11:00pm. I'm not much of a hardcore MMO player so I'm not looking for anything too intense. I am currently playing as a level 28 necromancer, but I was contemplating starting a guardian. I'm not really quite sure how the whole multiple characters stuff works, so again any and all help is very much appreciated.

Hey there!

I've recently started a guild called What The Kitten [Meow] for casual PvX (player versus everything!) play. We are a real friendly bunch, with a varied level spread. We are really happy to take new players, sharing tips, items and discussing the game in general. We are still growing but that's nice in a way as we are pretty familiar and easy going with each other because of that.

Do you know what your game server is?

[Begin short recruiting broadcast ^^] I play with a casual guild on Sanctum of Rall called Omega Order. All levels and time schedules welcomed. We focus on Story, Dungeons, WvW, fractals,, and general randomness. [End broadcast ]

Guilds in this game are more of a social community, in my opinion. There aren't a ton of large group/guild -oriented activities at the moment that would require a large raiding party (8+ people in other games) to accomplish. World vs World is maybe an exception, but it can be played solo as well (you just won't be storming a keep).

As for the multiple characters, you can have/create up five different avatars to play with in the game. You can get more if you want through the gem store/black lion trading. You can also be a member of up to five guilds and swap between them at any time (but only be active/representing one at any time).

I'm in PST as well, so feel free to send me any in-game messages if you have additional questions ("Nyssus Naetek"). I don't frequent the forums too much, but I will try to reply here as well.

Hey Brandon. I have a casual guild on the Tarnished Coast server (I don't know what server you're on, and it would help to know, because you'd need to buy gems to transfer to another at this point).

We're mostly into PVe, rather than PvP but we do have some people who PvP as well, both SPvP and WvW. The thing is, you'd be best off using mumble with our guild, since that's where most of the "action" is.
