Hi! I'm new to the forums and i have a question.
Hi guys recently i have garnered interest in playing guild wars 2 and i was hoping i could run the game WELL possibly from med to high with these specs.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2720QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
8 gigs of ram
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (build 7600), 64-bit
just wondering if i can run it before i plop down the 150 bucks for the collectors edition, appreciate it guys thanks.
We'd probably need to know what video card you're running

Your specs sound good so far but we need to know what video card you're running before we make a final judgement.

I reckon you'll be fine on high in normal gameplay, might help to turn it down a bit in high populated events and WvW though if it lags, but generally speaking nothing wrong with that, newer than my system, i leave mine on normal settings and never have any problems and the game still looks sweet as.

Afaik they enabled Multithreading in the GPUs. I got a nice 5-15 Fps boost and now seeing my gpu (460M GTX) 100% in use. For most part I disabled Shadows, Reflections and Post processing, FPS stays at 35-40 now vs 20~30 last stress test.
