    ArenaNet.log

Hmm. It seems the devs over at the official forums need the above file to diagnose my BSOD. Trouble is, this file is not present anywhere on my system.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

They didn't tell you were to look for it atleast? That's kind of strange. I think in the GW2 folder if you have a crash its supposed to create a dump file there and thats what they are looking for. Its possible that it wasn't the game that caused the crash that it didn't create the file. If I remember when I get home from work I'll poke around mine and maybe cause a crash and see what it does. I know during beta I had a few crashes and I think I remember a file being created there, so we'll see.

It should be in > Documents > Guild Wars 2. It's possible that it didn't have time to create one with a BSOD in which case you might need to attempt to recreate the issue.

Ah, perhaps that's what's happened. Thanks!

It's happened a few times now and it seems there may have been an issue with the last patch; I'm not the only one experiencing this. After some investigation, it appears there's an issue with kernel - looks like it could be driver related - although this way above my tech-savvyness.

And yes, they say the log file is in documents/guildwars2. Except it isn't

Oh well, "Keep calm and carry on" as they say!

I've also read about this happening since the latest patch so hopefully they will find out what's wrong and get to the bottom of it. If it is kernel driver related then they really need to fix it because people really shouldn't have to mess with that sort of thing, it gets messy. It could also be your graphics driver and you could try downgrading or upgrading it, but again I think it's just up to ArenaNet to fix it.

Yeah, I was going to d/l the latest drivers but that kind of thing worries me; up until now, the versions I had were rock solid so why mess wiv 'em?

I agree with you re: Anet fixing it. I was able to play for about 20 mins just now so it's a really random thing. It really puts me off playing with a BSOD waiting to pounce.

    Thanks.
