    Suggestions on new character?

I've recently gotten back to the game and I already have a Level 80 to fund a new a character's progression. I just don't know what character to make. I'd prefer an adventurer or scholar since I already have a soldier.

    I want:
    Versatility in builds
    Good ways to survive easily
    The ability to solo

I've played and enjoyed all of the classes to Level 10 or so and I like them all. This is one of the few games where I can say that.

Mesmer is surprisingly fun and very versatile. They can solo fairly easily as well. I don't recommend thief because I'm biased against them, but it would be a good choice for what you're looking for.

Hmm... I guess I'll play both alternatively.

I'm pretty happy with my engineer (my only level 80 char so far and I almost always only solo).

While you are one of the two professions without weapon swap you got lots of weapon kits that completely change your combat style.

For people who want "pets" (or other "minions") there are the turrets.

Regarding equipment it's pretty cheap to get ALL your useable weapons (2 guns, 1 rifle, 1 shield, 1 speargun) at your level

so far i have played a bit of everything, and i will break down what i think might be fun for you.

Ranger, it has the adventurer theme, and support for that role (signets that give good HoT and run speed increase). Pets pets pets, there are lots of pets to find and tame throughout the game, adding one more aspect to the map completion. versatile in both melee and ranged, quite fun with conditions, very tough. Good solo'ing.

Mesmer, Slow so might as well take swiftness weapons to level. Very fun to play, twist wise, but not very powerful until you get past 40 and up into the traits. Fun to learn, and gets stealth, but still slow. Makes soloing fun, but also i would say its a more difficult class. However, since you already have an 80, you will be able to afford to keep your toon in the good armor and runes, as well as good weapons and sigils, so it can be fun....

Thief, also vastly different playstyle than the guardian, every fight is a struggle in pure dps. Again, funding makes this class fun to play in PVE, and can keep you up when playing from scratch can be really tough. More mobile than Mesmer, but not the greatest on mobility.

Elementalist, easily as fun as the ranger, but without the solid steady ability to solo anything, with the ele its all about twisting your elements (attunements). They are the most mobile of the classes, but lack when it comes to power builds outside of D/D. Staff eles are nice in dungeons, and scepter eles are OK, but both lack from PVE power in leveling due to static damage that monsters often (even unintentionally) avoid.

warrior is fun, and mobile, but since you already played a guardian, i would expect less interest in war.

Anyone who knows someone who aren't using their account or have stop playing Guild Wars 2 completely, please can you get in contact with them asking them for their account. I've been using my mates account for a while and now he wants to use it again and as a student don't have enough money to spend on buying an account. So if anyone can help drop me a message.

    Kind regards
