    WvW D/D during siege

In WvW I have been running dual daggers, which i love. Great damage, survivability and utility. That being said, when we get into a siege situation i have been backing out and switching to either scepter/dagger or staff. While not overly onerous, it isnt as fun or fluid as one might like.

I was just wondering what some of you other D/D eles do in siege mode? Do you also switch weapons or do you stay D/D? If you stay D/D, what is your modus operandi while you wait for the gate to be bashed open? If you switch, do you have any methods that make it easier and more fluid? Tricks to get out of combat faster?

    Thanks!

Well on my professions that don't have good range, d/d ele and guardian, during sieges I use siege. I'll throw out a balista or an arrowcart and let the badges roll in. Attacking or defending they are useful, just make sure you don't throw them out right in the middle of where all the enemy siege hits.

One thing you can consider too is ice bow utlity, pull it out it has some pretty good attacks and you don't have to worry about being caught with your pants down if you have to suddenly defend yourself like you would if you switched weapons all together.

Both great ideas, thanks! I like the idea of not switching off of my daggers. It really does make me feel very exposed compared to having them on and at the ready. Scepter/Dagger is alright, and I am getting more used to it, though I prefer DD by no small amount.

I usually leave siege for those under 80, but it may be worth hoping on in certain circumstances. Using the ice bow is a good thought also. I will have to play around with it some, practice with it, and see how it goes. Dropping a utility skill in those situations is much easier than changing my weapons all together.
