Thread: Do you still play GW and if so what are you up to nowadays?

Just let me know if you need any help in-game. Most of the time I'll be happy to help if I'm not busy with anything else. My in-game name is, ironically, The Helping Hand.

I just achieved Grandmaster Treasure Hunter this afternoon btw.

    Not a problem.

The same goes for me too. One of my ingame characters is Azrael Kezef. I'm on at different times depending on school and whatnot.

I played Guild Wars for a good two years or so, then left for about 6 months. I recently came back a few weeks ago, playing every once and a while. After watching that Manifesto, I started playing likea crack addict, though, and I can honestly say that Guild wars is the greatest MMO I have ever played, and is what I use to measure other games, really.

I'm playing through prophecies for a second time atm, under the name "A Shadow's Wound" if anyone wants to play. Not really a PvPer, though I enjoy it sometimes. Also trying to max out as many titles as possible for GW2's release. Gotta get me a nice looking hall of achievements. >

Well I finally did a full install of my GW discs to see what I can do about optimizing my HoM stuff. Daunting task actually. Especially considering how much crap I've got in my Xunlai Chest and multiple inventories. On the plus side I've found quite a few hero armor upgrades!

I also managed to tank a Slaver's dungeon on my Dervish.

Haven't really started. :P I got interested in GW2 through the posting of the Manifesto and then all the other details about how the game is designed.

I downloaded the trial of GW, but to be honest, it feels a little like the "Kill 10 rats" that they talk about wanting to avoid with GW2. And the graphics feel a bit dated to me. Not sure that I'll actually pay for it.

It's actually not really like that too much once the meat and bones begin. Most of the GW experience is about going through the narrative like an offline RPG. Something most MMOs don't even have; stories and cut scenes.

Not pushing the hard sell on you or anything. The graphics are dated but still beautiful for it's generation. I can't believe people are stilling playing World of Warcraft the way it looks.

Well right now I'm trying to max my HoM points and max a few more titles like unlucky

Here is my GW to do list for the HoM:
    1. Finish the mini moa and dedicate it.
    2. Get an Oppressor Weapon.
    3. Get two more destroyer weapons.
    4. Complete factions and charm Imperial Phoenix paragon character.
    5. Get 26 new unded minis.

Izzy, do the War in Kryta storyline. It's fun and you can have enough for a single Oppressor Weapon by the time you finish

Also, I'm going to do the...um...place where you go for the last bit of Moa this coming Sunday (trying not to spoiler, heh). I will have all the quests done to get entrance by them, so depending we could go together

EDIT: As for me just finished up Guardian of Elona tonight. Guardian of Tyria and the HM part of Master of the North title tracks are both in progress. Been doing those according to the Zmission/Zbounty of the day, and throwing in some vanquishing while I'm at it.

Also still need to finish Canthan and ELonian skill hunter tracks. ...I hope I have enough plat left, LOL. I got impatient and bought an over-priced Torment Shield.

I already did that and had two oppressor weapons but I gave one to a guildie for his bday and the other one I sold. That was before they could be added to the HoM, oops xD. If I keep doing the bounties everyday with multiple characters though I should have them soon though

Bah! Heart kinda sank when I found out the accomplishments aren't retroactive from pre-EotN. I've beaten The Deep and Fissure of Woe, dammit!
