    Four Legged Run

    From what I've seen of the in game footage and pictures, all the Charr characters are tall with hunch back of notre' dame backs, while in the original Guild Wars there were many different kinds of Charr. Some Charr had the bent over look of the ones I have seen so far in GW 2, while some were lithe and stood up straight, there were the small mesmer Charr with different horns I believe, and and then some stand up straight with a slight hunch. I just seem to remember there being multiple different type of Charr body styles, and lately I've only been saying the hunched over one. I dont want to be stuck with this style when I create my Charr character. : / Any thoughts?

    Edit: I have seen a thinner stand up straight style Charr, as in the pic of the Charr with the gun and the human ele making the area and bullet electrical. I hope we have horn customization, or the horns will change depending on body style at least.

    Hmm, this is just a thought. Perhaps your running style is dependent on the background story of the character you create in the beginning? Hopefully we'll hear more.

    I anticipate a fair amount of customization this time around. I think horns and body shapes will be quite varied. But postures? Hmm I dunno, but of course I'd love it.

    It always kind of annoyed me in GW1 that every class has the exact same posture.

    I think that's a girl charr. But...I'm just guessing.

    I would like to have Sylvari With the back of WoW-Undeads. that would look great to me.

    I wouldn't expect to see posture customization but I'd LOVE to see it. Most likely, it'll depend on your story progression and backstory, which has already been said.
    The hunchback looks kind of cool for casters and theives but it really puts me off playing a Charr Engineer

    Charr male and female postures are the same. With some attacks, they straighten up a little but, but otherwise they are hunched over, and I believe they will stay this way. There really isn't a reason to change it in my opinion, some people don't like "the hunch" but ANet has said they have a specific image of the Charr they are trying to portray.

    Some food for thought: For humans, you don't have the choice to have your character doubled-over like an old man, or standing super tall and proud (I don't mean physique here ^^), or more aloof, and the same goes for the other races. So then, why should Charr get this option?
    From a technical viewpoint, physique doesn't change the way the character moves, so this is easy to add to the game. However, if they added options to have a hunched or a straight-backed Charr, they'd have to reanimate everything because of the way the joints work in the character model. So all of the spells, walk cycles, idle animations, cinematics, NPCs, etc (basically everything in the game, since it is so interactive) would have to be reanimated just because some people didn't like the hunch. This would take so much time and resources, and I think ANet is more worried about getting the core game mechanics polished and having it be fun instead of going overboard on a small detail. They understand and want to allow the best customization they can give, but they also have to prioritize their resources so the overall game is great. ^^

    Just my opinion on the matter, since I've seen tons of people on other forums talking about this.

    Edit: I forgot to add, but horn customization is confirmed and was in the demos - there are some really cool ones too! I especially liked the one with a gear sticking through the horn, it really fits for an engineer.

    I know that run styles depend on the weapon as well, You can note that in some videos when the weapon is 'sheathed' IE either on the sides or back, the Charr tend to get on all fours and haul ass. When they take out their weapons though, it becomes the bipedal hobble that is kittywarrior.

    I think that's the difference between the walking and the running animation for charr

    I don't think so, unless every race has a 'Run' speed and a 'walking fighting' speed.
