I was really excited about this guild until I realised that 'hardcore' really means 'online HEAPS'.
I could never find a guild in WoW that didn't have retards, people who didn't know (or care) how to play their class, didn't require crazy strict raid schedules with minimum attendence, or couldn't otherwise function from midnight - 8am PST.
I love trying to play well. Both for my own satisfaction and to enhance group play (saving others etc, or simply being aware of your surroundings). I'm all for signing up to scheduled events or helping other guild members, but having to shape my life around a game is a no go. I'll make allowances for extra time, especially to take part in sheduled events/runs.
If this is something you're looking for then I'm in and then some (cause I know how much of a find that would be), but if you're strict on the "Let us know if you'll be away for more than a day or two or you may be kicked" thing then I'm not interested.
Yes, unfortunately we have to be a bit strict on that, because with (around the time of GW2 launch) around 300 members in 3 games, it gets too chaotic if people treat the guild as a revolving door. That said, it should not be too hard to let someone know if you're off for a few days, and if you have a job or something that requires you to disappear suddenly with next to no warning (journalism, army officer, pilot etc.) then it may be taken in to account as long as your officers know that in advance.

Rift, Zzz I played like 1 day and got lv 28 MM/Sin/Ranger it had the makings of something reasonable though. I can't take anyone seriously who would P2P that game (IMO)
