New History/Lore Based Guild - Durmand's Fellowship(?)
Hey, I'm new to these forums in an attempt to put forward an idea for a new guild. It'd be nice to hear your feedback and if anyone would be interested. The name is not decided upon yet.
I've been playing the original Guild Wars for around 5 years across many different characters and i've thoroughly enjoyed all my time researching the Lore of the old game, and how that's been transferred into this one. I'm thouroghly looking forward to this game and want to see if anyone would be interested in helping me set up my own Guild idea.
The Guild Itself: I plan for this to be a social, friendly and event filled guild, that isn't too stressful and enjoys doing world events, wvw, pvp, dungeons, and exploring together in a tight community. However, I will also want to incorporate Roleplaying into the guild for who wishes too, sharing various historical research with each other, and embarking upon expeditions to unlock secrets of the past, IC.
Inspired by the great historian Durmand, This is a strand of Durmand Priory which focuses on research and exploration of landmarks of historical influence, with the hope of discovering precious artefacts to help in the struggle against the Dragons. For RP Purposes they will probably be situated within the priory.
Outside of the Roleplaying aspect, this guild provides the chance to have fun in exploring the lore and landscape of the game and discovering landmarks which you may even recognise from Guild Wars 1! And it gives you a chance to do it with fun-lovin' people. I think it's a really good idea, especially in a game which is just starting up, as many must be anxious to discover and explore the land, and the secrets hidden within. And obviously, doing Dungeons, WvW (which i've extremely excited for), and leveling will hopefully be common.
So yeah, thats the background. . Because we are a new guild, me and my friends will need some more people to help make this guild as great as it could be. . We also need a name, which relates to unlocking the past. At the moment i have such ideas as 'Disciples of Durmand', 'Durmands Fellowship', 'Liberators of the past', and 'Guardians of old'. None of them particularly stand out, so ideas are welcome!
Thanks for reading and hope you're interested!
