I don't think you can get your expectations high for this... It's a genre changing MMORPG. If you take all the facts about Classes/professions and the fact there isn't really a TANK/DPS/HEALER trio here, it's going to be one of the most interesting MMORPG's I've ever played personally.

Every MMORPG I've ever heard of or played has a TANK/DPS/HEALER combo, and it seems there's no excuse not to have that happening. If GW2 pulls this off I'm going to be impressed.

I'm already pulling my hair out waiting for release. It's so unnerving!

TBH i kinda like having defined rolls, waiting for this to see how it turns out...

Oh I agree, defined dedicated rolls are nice... because it's what we are used to. I have great faith in NCsoft/Arenanet. They did an amazing job with the first guild wars, and I expect from all the hype they have (the devs) and the events they did at e3, pax, and gamescom It's going to be something out of this world.

Definitely no dual professions, Arenanet have said it makes professions feel less unique, and it is much much easier to balance the game this way.

No, GW2 will not have dual professions... it was a nightmare balancing all the different skill combination that the dual-class system made possible, and they definitely don't want to go that road again.

I don't think they were even able to balance them in the first place, I always find it amusing looking at Smiter's Boon (PvP): http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Smiter%27s_Boon_(PvP) . They actually just gave up on balancing it and destroyed the skill

I hope Anet take the opportunity to make many more weapon skills in future GW2 content, it should be much easier to do than GW1, although it's obvious that much more effort has been put in per-skill in GW2 when you look at their animations, functionality, etc.
