I love the questionnaire part. Even slight RP preferences can influence how you look like mentioning your favorite element will dictate what headpiece you get...

No Walls of Text. Awesome. MMO's have been getting cumbersome in repetitive quest systems where the real reward for turning in a quest is a paragraph.

Different gear will open different skills! That's a great and ingenious way to have gear matter w/o imalancing the game. Effing brilliant...

Double posting because MMOSite has a content interview from PAX where they do touch a bit on World vs. World PvP as well as personality system.

We will also not only get to choose our upbringing but our Legion (I'm assuming for Charr) or our college if Asuran (even though the interview spells it with a z :tresconfused.

I took some highlights and bullet points from the article Ruse found:

"When a city burns down it stays burned down."

In essence we're reducing the theme park effect which is one of my biggest gripes with MMOs.

"The Personality system. The system is based on the early choices you make. There is Dignity, Charm, and Ferocity. You might run into a group of small children who will sing your praises. Very dignified people think of you as a hero. One of the ferocious options opens with, I Hit Him. You can hit NPCs if need be."

This is one reason I think this game will revolutionize the genre. It's putting the "RP" back into RPG; naturally and organically. I'm stoked about this.

"You care about the people on the server. We think we will have those bonds because your server is matched up against two other servers."

We've heard about WvW, but I can't stress how important the epic pvp battle experience is in terms of making an mmo fun. If a game can manage this, it tends to be the only thing done right, but from this interview alone, we're looking at roleplay detail, PvE immersion, and PvP/WvW after already knowing how beautiful the graphics, animation and sound are. Ah, man.
