    Bonjour. <3

    Hi guys. (: I guess I should start out by saying that I never actually played the original GW for any real length of time; I had a necro named Lailah Rose, but I got swept away with other things & never got into it for some reason. I'm not an avid player of games, but I have a tiny bit of MMO experience, and being a writer (yes, I know, a teenage writer, we're a dime a dozen but I promise I'm not that awful X.D) I find myself being drawn to games with well-crafted and interesting stories, and a sense of individuality and involvement for players, so they don't feel like they're just another member of some army of clones grinding toward a victory against a vague, depthless enemy. Also, even though the few times I played an MMO I was always the healer or buff class, I like this idea of no dedicated healing class, because it means every class has abilities to really support their teammates. And the game's potential players, whether they're GW vets or just wanted to try something new, seem for the most part like mature people who care about developing a fun community. So yeah, I'm kind of excited about this. X.D Which is kind of why I joined these forums - I guess I'll see you around.

    Hi Sara, welcome to this forum (I see you've been around for a few days already) and to the Guild Wars community. Don't worry, Guild Wars 2 has a completely different gameplay from Guild Wars 1, so not having any GW1 experience won't be a problem. You'll just miss out on a bit of the lore, but everything you need to know will also be told in-game.
    And yes, we (mostly) do try to be fun and mature here, so you're definitely in the right place. Oh, and feel free to go wild in our Fan Fiction section... we love stories written by our community members!

    Welcome to the forum. Keep at the writing, I'm terrible at it and I still am able to make somewhat of a living at it.

    @Qukatt & Ship - Merci beaucoup.

    @Drow - Anything that comes to mind. X.D I've recently become obsessed with making up characters and writing their backstories, as well as throwing them into situations and seeing how it plays out. I've attempted to write a novel a few times, but I always end up feeling like I need more life experience before I can really start to embark on that.

    @JohnnyV - Thanks. ^-^ I will try to dabble in some fanfic stuff, once I start to learn the lore better - I feel like my characters deserve their own origin stories X.D Fantasy was always really fun to write for me; fanfics were a challenge, however, because you have to stay within in the 'canon' limits.
