Hi, I've never played Guild Wars before, but im reallly hyped about GW2. I wanted to pre-order it but i dont know if its a download or comes with a disk.
WoW had a download available from the site, Will Guild Wars do the same thing?

you'll notice that they are selling a "Digital" deluxe edition. so no disk required.

My guess is that when Launch comes around you'll get a email enabling you to download the client. Probably wont be able to play unless you Pre-purchased the Game, and that'll be 3 days before the specified launch date.

Hi Equinox, welcome to this forum.

The way digital download will work is: if you pre-purchase (after April 10th) the digital download edition (standard or deluxe) either from ArenaNet themselves or from one of the retailers that support pre-purchasing, then you will receive a code by email and some instructions. You go to the website described in these instructions and you use the code to create an account. Then you can download the game from that website, and during each beta event weekend you will be able to login to the account that you created. This code will remain valid also during the 3-day headstart, and as far as I know, that same digital download code remains valid for the actual game as well (if you buy the physical edition, the code will only remain valid until 5 days after the actual releasedate, at which time you need to have entered the new code that comes in the physical box).
