They actually have a really interesting back story. Basically they're more smarts than brawn, favoring mathematical magic and magical technology to crush their enemies bwhahahahaha! Err sorry.. anyway there's gotta be little people! We need that race to make fun of their shortness haha, then they get mad and crush you with their golems xD

When I was first getting interested in GW2 I felt the same way about Asurans. Although, once I read what they are about, I fell in love with them and their golems.

Still, I mean what MMO doesn't have a cute little race? I don't plan on playing them, but i DO plan on devouring them with my Charr. Every MMO needs a race that allows everyone to say, "Hey! Theres the little guy! Go get him!"
