    Lightbulb Armor Sets in GW2?

Are there going to be different kinds of armor sets in GW2? On most videos I've seen they don't seem to have any. Like in the Ascalon Dungeon I don't think any pieces of armor sets were dropped at all. I hope this will be a mechanic in GW2 as it is always fun to collect all the sets and see what is best.

I don't beleive so, i think they are going for a more free form setup instead of forcing people to get certain gear because it is "the best" in the game. Seeing as all gear of the same kind (i.e. Swords) will not have a diffrent Attack speed or Weapon damage then another i don't believe they will give you added bonuses just for getting a set. That creates elitists and they want to stay as far away from gear being the deciding factor in a battle.

Armor sets in Guild Wars 2 aren't monster drops, you can purchase them from special merchants, or craft them (if you have one of the crafting professions). There will be a lot of variety in the way armor pieces look, so everyone should be able to create their own favorite armor set. Note that it's entirely about the looks, though, as it will be relatively easy to obtain a standard max-stats armor set in Guild Wars 2.

    As for dungeons:

Every dungeon has a unique armor and weapon set. At the end of a run, you get a token you can exchange for the exact piece you want
Apparently you get a weapon token from doing the dungon in story mode, and an armor token from doing it in explorable mode.

There are also racial armor sets and sets for each of the three "factions" you might join, though factions isn't the right word...the Order of Whispers, Durmond Priory and the Vigil all have their own armor sets too.

Also, there will be runes, which you can buy and then place on armor. These will increase in power and give new bonuses for each rune of the same kind you have equipped. So, you still have "set bonuses" but now you can put the specific set bonus you want on the armor that you think looks the coolest. You an also mix and match runes if you want to get a mix of bonuses. Here is the list of known runes and their bonuses http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune

Thanks everyone for the info, it really helps to know what to expect and to try to accomplish when I actually get the game. I would like to know more about the "factions" or order, I'm gonna look up on that right now.

No one mentioned transmutation stones...if you have this set of max-level armor but you love the look of, say, a lowbie set, you can use transmutation stones to use the appearance of the lowbie armor but keep your level 80 stats. So that's another way to diversify looks.

Do not look unless you wanna get all bothered.
Dontain has posted a new video of dungeon gear showing all races and both genders.

    Click for video

Very nice presentation, though graphics seem a bit fuzzy. Overall, worth the watch.
