minature rytlock and mistfire wolf skill

Does anybody know if the rytlock that you get from the deluxe editions attacks and is actually useful or is it just a random guy that follows you and does nothing else? Also is it only for one character in your account or will all of your characters have him? And will only one if your characters get the mistfire wolf skill? If that's true it doesn't seems worth it because I will be experimenting with races and professions a bunch.

It's a "miniature", so yes, it's basically "a random guy that follows you and does nothing else".

And all characters on your account will be able to obtain to the mistfire wolf elite skill.

That said, there are achievements for collecting minis...if you're a collector like me, that's an end in and of itself.
