Character Naming in GW2

Well hello there guildwars2forum community! I was just curious (solely to those who have been involved in a beta event thus far) if you know how the character naming system works at the moment. Being that my name is Science, it is very difficult for me to claim this name prior to someone else. Anyways, time to get to the point. I am curious as to which of the following features will be included in the character naming system:

• One, or two names separated by a space
• Italics
• Punctuation (Likely Not)
• Special characters ( * , - , ! , _ )
• Symbols

If you know what is currently in BETA, please reply telling me what you are aware of!

19 characters english letters...no numbers or special characters...however, you can use space as a regular character. So you could have a 3 word or even 4 word name if you can fit it in 19 characters.

Thanks Vayne This is good news, I have Sci Ence claimed on original Guild Wars, and Anet has noted you will be able to xfer those names to GW2; but hopefully being that I preordered, I can get in on the 3 day early access and claim Science for my own. Do you know if capital letters will be included? Ex. SciencE?

I was so excited to hear that they allowed spaces!
In WoW I had to grind for two months to get the title "Professor" and now I can have it right out of the gate.

I know names are capped...but not sure you can use a capital letter in the middle of a word. Pretty sure you can't in GW 1, anyway.

In all of the videos I have seen I have yet to see any name like that, so I am leaning towards no, but I suppose it's a possibility that simply no one has done so yet.

Will most likely follow Guild Wars naming conventions.
I.E. (Professor Pachyderm; You Cant Win; etc)

Allowing the capitalization of the first letter in a word and none there after.
You could be Scienc E. xD

Thanks for your replies They were without a doubt constructive to my issue. Scienc E isnt a bad idea actually now that it has been mentioned. I will just cross my fingers and hope I can get the original one off the bat. However I am sure someone will jump in and snag it before I do, thats just my luck!
